Title: New to SR - Made an order - Question
Post by: elbowsoar on October 27, 2011, 04:47 pm
Hello.  I'm new to SR.  I made an order with a trusted seller and sent my address PGP encrypted.  Now under orders it says processing and there's no finalize button.  I was under the impression I'd have to finalize early since it's my first purchase.  Did it finalize automatically or is there something I have to do?  My BTC total in my account went down, I'm just curious if it's in escrow and there's something I need to do, or if I'm now just waiting for my order to arrive.  Thanks.

No it will say processing until the seller ships it. Then you will see a finalize button. Don't finalize early unless the seller requests it. This is a bad habit to get into. If you finalize early, you have no escrow protection and could possibly be ripped off. Just be patient and it will work out.

Yep, also don't finalize early unless they are well reviewed (on SR and forum) and have been a vendor for more than a month.  Unfortunately scammers seem rampant in the recent past and new buyers are definitely an easy target!

out of escrow is against the rules.
Yes I know the vendors are the problem behind this.
Never finalize early "EBS"* is rampant on the marketplace.
Do Not let a vendor talk you into anything a real deal vendor would never ask for out of escrow because they know it against the site rules.
The biggest problem of all is that new members skim guidelines or never even looking at them.
